Conference "Desirable Behavior In and Out of School"

On April 17th, the students of the middle school classes participated in the conference "Desirable Behavior In and Out of School". Under the coordination of the Debate teacher, Cristian Vasilescu, the students debated topics such as discipline, means and approaches used in educating children, but also the role of the school in shaping student behaviors at different ages. Special guests at this event were University Professor Doctor Ioan Neacşu and Associate Professor Doctor Corina Matei, specialists in Pedagogy and Philosophy, who lectured students about various influences in the development of behavior, from childhood to adulthood.

On Monday, April 1st, we had a new special guest: Andrei Roşu, athlete, blogger, writer and inspirational speaker, organizer of charities and sporting events. After his first marathon, at the North Pole, Andrei finished 7 marathon and 7 ultra marathons, on 7 continents. He has made it to Antarctica, Australia, the Himalayas, the Sahara, Chile, New Zealand, Brazil and other places where many just dream, and the Guinness Book and World Academy have validated his performance as a world record. Students enrolled at the Genesis Music School have held short artistic moments, playing songs specially prepared for this event - piano, guitar, singing, blockflote or chorus. The first Romanian sportsperson to have climbed the Ama Dablam peak in the Himalayas, visiting Genesis Collegiate!

The middle school students greeted special guests: Laura Mareş, the first Romanian sportsperson to have climbed the Ama Dablam peak in the Himalayas, and Justin Ionescu, the President of the Romanian Federation of Mountaineering and Escalade, the only Romanian to climb two peaks of over 8000 meters in one year. Justin has 10 active alpine expeditions in Nepal and escalated the Everest peak (8848 meters) in 2017. Latest details for bronchoscope purchase

This week, doctor Catalin Cirstoveanu and president of Genesis Collegiate, Ioana Necula, met the representative of Karl Storz Endoskope, from where the rigid bronchoscope will be purchased, in order to discuss the latest details. Soon, the device will be available for the newborn Intensive Care Unit of the "Marie Curie" Hospital. With your help, we have collected approximately 80,000 lei so far.
